PRACTICE MANAGEMENT

BUSINESS

Accepting card payments via the practice website

Keith Barrand and David Shaw

MANY veterinary surgeries have websites but few, as yet, have a facility that allows clients to pay invoices via these websites. As Keith Barrand and David Shaw explain, practices have a number of options open to them if they wish to start taking payments online and there is a solution for almost every budget.

Keith Barrand is the senior director of the Fenwold Veterinary Practice, a seven-vet mixed practice in Lincolnshire. He holds the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine and is currently enrolled on the new Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Veterinary General Practice).

David Shaw is a Microsoft certified professional (MCP) in website programming and founder of Digital Elevation, a web design company specialising in e-commerce and all-in-one website packages.
