What to do with an endowment mortgage shortfall

Roy Smitheman

MANY UK householders planned to pay off their mortgages with endowment policies, but since the stock market falls in the 1990s, the future of some policies looks far from certain. Roy Smitheman explains what the options are if your endowment policy is suffering from a shortfall.

Roy Smitheman is an independent financial adviser with Lloyd & Whyte (Financial Services). He entered the financial services industry after a long career in the Royal Air Force, and has spent a number of years specialising in inheritance tax mitigation, retirement planning and investment advice.
