Maternity, parental and family leave

Wendy Brown Law and Employment Relations

THE Maternity and Parental Leave Regulations came into effect in December 1999. The new legislation has simplified the law in the case of maternity leave while at the same time strengthening the rights of pregnant women and employees with family responsibilities. Wendy Brown summarises the changes.
