Blood transfusions in cattle

THE timely administration of a blood transfusion in cases of life-threatening anaemia in cattle is relatively simple and clinically very rewarding. The whole procedure takes about 60 to 80 minutes and, at a cost to the farmer of approximately £80 to £100, is often economically justifiable.
