Disabled clients - being aware of their special needs

THE Disability Discrimination Act 1996 requires that disabled people are treated no less favourably than able-bodied people. As Alison Hudd explains in this article, simply being aware of the many forms of disability, and being able to cope with them thoughtfully and sensitively, can make a visit to the vet much less of an ordeal for a disabled client.
