The right endoscope for you?

Pointers for the choice of diagnostic equipment in practice

Martin Sullivan

A 1 m long, 9 mm diameter paediatric panendoscope is an ideal first instrument for general practice because it has the widest range of applications. It should be used with a light source that can deliver air and water automatically.

Note:

The author is very grateful to Calum Paterson of the department of veterinary anatomy, Glasgow University, for the line drawings and to Alan May for the photographs.
